Getting Started Guide

The steps below outline Kim’s co-packing process and show you exactly how to get started. Follow along to get the ball rolling on bringing your product to market.

1
Sign our NDA

Our standard Non-Disclosure Agreement ensures your recipe stays yours. It guarantees we cannot copy or share it. Click here to download the document and email the signed copy back to pat@kimsgourmet.com.

2
Share Your Recipes

Once the NDA is signed by both parties, email your recipes to pat@kimsgourmet.com. Please include the ingredient list, target yield, and any key process notes (temps, timings).

3
First Test batch
(if needed)

If you don’t have a scaled-up recipe, we’ll prepare a small test batch (½–1 gallon) to ensure it translates accurately to larger runs. You’ll review and sign off to confirm it matches your original recipe. The cost is $150 per hour, and the process typically takes 1–2 hours.

4
Obtain Process Letters
(if needed)

If you don’t already have a process letter for each recipe (a requirement of the FDA), we will work with a food scientist to provide them. The cost is $125 per letter. Once completed, your recipe is cleared for production and distribution.

5
Create Nutrition Panel
(if needed)

If you don’t already have nutrition panels, we can provide FDA-approved panels for $50 each. Once complete, your product will be fully compliant and ready for packaging design.

6
Source Packaging
(if needed)

If you don’t already have a bottle, we can help source the right packaging for your product. We work with trusted suppliers such as Amen, TricorBraun, and Gamer. Once selected, your product will be matched with the ideal bottle and ready for filling.

7
Create a Label
(if needed)

If you don’t have a label, our design partner Adam Nelson—a CPG branding expert and owner of Blonde Beard’s—can create one. Once complete, your product will be shelf-ready.

8
Scale up Production

Time to put it all together. We’ll scale your recipe to a 35–50 gallon batch to confirm consistency before larger runs.

9
Scale and Grow

We can produce at larger volumes—up to 90-gallon batches and 270 gallons per day. As your business grows, we’ll grow with you. Just ask Blonde Beard’s.
